Meet Barbara
I’m Barbara, founder of Spotlight Property Staging.
My love of property and interiors started early. As a teenager, I remember saving the money from my weekend job so I could redecorate my bedroom myself — I even chose and fitted a new carpet!
Growing up on my dad’s smallholding, I was always involved in maintaining or improving outbuildings, from renovating the farmhouse to decorating and choosing furnishings.
That passion eventually became my career. From managing accommodation to spending 15 years working in social housing, I’ve worked across property management, refurbishment, repairs and design, developing a knowledge of new homes.
Alongside my professional career, I’ve renovated my own homes, often taking on older properties that other struggled to see the potential in. By rethinking layouts, restoring original features and carefully presenting each space, I’ve seen just how much difference the right approach can make.
Those experiences inspired me to create Spotlight Property Staging, bringing together my love of property, interiors, problem-solving and helping people.
Today I use that experience to help homeowners and property professionals see their properties through a buyer’s eyes, bring out its potential and make the best possible first impression.

I work with homeowners, estate agents, holiday home owners, investors and developers, offering practical advice, hands-on styling and complete vacant property staging.
Every property is different, and so is my approach. By combining property knowledge with thoughtful design and strategic staging, I can help create spaces that buyers can connect with and imagine calling home.
